Tonelli Design Marcell pairs a console and home-office desk by Massimo Castagna with glass frames and wooden storage units.
The compartments appear suspended within the transparent structure. Optional doors or sets of small drawers change the balance of open and closed storage. The console can add a separate countertop mirror for dressing use, while the desk provides a broader working surface. Both retain the contrast between glass planes and enclosed wooden volumes.
Massimo Castagna graduated in architecture from the Politecnico di Milano in 1984 and founded AD architettura in 1986. His practice includes residential and commercial architecture, restoration, interiors, furniture and art direction. His projects connect architectural experience with product development for Italian and international manufacturers.
