Home bar furniture and nightstands.
Tonelli Design Grattacielo includes bedside units and wheeled storage by Marco Gaudenzi and Isao Hosoe.
Stackable glass elements create different heights, with optional wood, leather or lacquered drawers introducing enclosed compartments. Rubber casters support the movable compositions. Grattacielo Fix uses a fixed shelving structure instead of stacked modules, extending the related transparent form into other widths and heights. Open shelves and drawers can combine according to the selected unit.
Isao Hosoe trained in aerospace engineering at Nihon University in Tokyo before moving to Milan in 1967. He worked with Alberto Rosselli at Studio Ponti-Fornaroli-Rosselli and developed a practice in industrial design. He also taught and lectured at institutions including the Politecnico di Milano, Domus Academy and ISIA Florence.
See all their workMarco Gaudenzi graduated in architecture from the University of Rome in 1976. His work includes civil and industrial buildings as well as product design. He helped develop Tonelli's design direction from 1987, collaborating with the manufacturer and inviting other designers to explore glass furniture.
