Tonelli Design Bakkarat pairs dining and side tables by D’Urbino & Lomazzi with faceted glass stems.
Round extra-clear tops sit above the shaped central supports, which refract light through their surfaces. Dining versions use chromed-metal bases and several top diameters. Side tables combine the glass stem with mirrored bases in two heights and diameters, carrying the same pedestal outline into a smaller scale beside seating.
Donato D’Urbino and Paolo Lomazzi began their design partnership with Jonathan De Pas in 1966. After De Pas's death in 1991, the practice continued as D’Urbino & Lomazzi. Their work spans furniture, objects, architecture and installations, including experiments with industrial materials and temporary structures.
