Lodes Random is Chia-Ying Lee’s family of blown-glass pendant lights, from single spheres to clustered and linear arrangements.
Random groups three unequal globes, Random Solo provides individual bubbles in several sizes, and Random Cloud suspends larger groups beneath a canopy. Random Stick positions the spheres along a metal bar and adds downward LED modules beneath it. Glass treatments and proportions vary, with compatible canopies supporting different suspended compositions.
Chia-Ying Lee is a Taiwanese designer who graduated from the Interaction Design Institute Ivrea in 2006. After working at PEGA, she founded Studio if in 2011. Her practice connects art and technology through objects and installations, including the Random lighting design introduced by Studio Italia Design in 2015.

We show Lodes by appointment at both showrooms — Royal Oak on Woodward and Troy at the Michigan Design Center. Call ahead and we'll have samples and finishes pulled and waiting.
