Bontempi Casa Rebecca by Carlesi & Tonelli includes dining chairs and barstools built around upholstered wooden shells.
Armed and armless dining versions rest on solid-wood or lacquered-metal legs. Fixed stools offer two seating heights on four metal legs, while a separate central-base model swivels and adjusts through a gas-lift piston. Fabric, velvet and leather coverings follow the curved shells across these different seating levels and support arrangements.
Davide Carlesi and Gian Luca Tonelli founded CarlesiTonelli in 2004. Their industrial design practice combines their different professional backgrounds with research into materials, technology and production. Product development considers manufacturing processes alongside the ways objects are used.
