Bonaldo Pil by Alessandro Busana includes dining chairs, lounge armchairs and stools based on separate pillow-like seats and backs.
A central fold shapes the seat cushion, while metal supports remain visible below. Dining variants combine two back heights with arm or armless formats; lounge chairs offer standard and taller backs with a separate footrest. Stools bring the cushion design to two fixed heights, with angled crossbars beneath the seating.
Alessandro Busana develops products through Hole Designstudio, a practice focused on research and development. His collaboration with Bonaldo began in 2015 with the Medley table. Other projects include the Blanket bed, introduced in 2017 and recognized with a Good Design Award.
