Studio Vondom
Studio Vondom is the in-house design team of Vondom, the Spanish outdoor furniture house based near Valencia. The company began with lighting and planters, and a very successful collection of pots carried its early growth; it now makes sofas, loungers, chairs, tables and planters, nearly all rotation-molded in linear low-density polyethylene, a single recyclable material shaped into one hollow, lightweight piece that stands up to the hardest weather. Vondom works with outside designers including Ramón Esteve, Eugeni Quitllet, Karim Rashid and Javier Mariscal, and the studio's own engineers, industrial and graphic designers develop collections alongside them, working from ergonomics, molds and surfaces through prototypes, models and material samples; its Jut collection was the house's first minimalist outdoor range. Vondom sells in dozens of countries, and on this site it is the second-largest outdoor house.
