Pocci & Dondoli
Marco Pocci and Claudio Dondoli are the designers behind Archirivolto, the studio they founded in 1983 in Colle di Val d'Elsa, near Siena, after meeting as architecture students in Florence. Some houses credit their work to the studio and others to the two names, so their pieces appear on this site under both. The practice began with architecture and interiors and turned to industrial design, with seating as its specialty: chairs, stools, sofas and office and outdoor seating, developed from market research through the studio's own model maker to technical support in production. Their stated aim is beauty for everyone, not for an elite, with close attention to materials, processes and the balance of performance and cost. For Bonaldo they designed the Blues chair, a polypropylene chair made with gas-molding technology, and they are on Bontempi's designer roster; the studio also works with Pedrali, Desalto and Allermuir. On this site their pieces appear across Bonaldo and Bontempi.
