Luca Nichetto
Luca Nichetto is an industrial designer and creative director born in Venice in 1976, into a family that worked in the Murano glass industry; as a schoolboy he was already selling his drawings to the local glassworks. He studied at the city's art institute and took a degree in industrial design at the IUAV in 1998, joined the Murano glassmaker Salviati the following year and became a product designer and consultant for Foscarini. He founded his own studio in Venice in 2006 and opened a second in Stockholm in 2011, where he now lives. The studio works on furniture, lighting, objects and interiors and serves as art director for several houses; his clients include Hermès, Ginori 1735, Cassina, &Tradition, Arflex, Bosa and Casamania. His work received the Good Design Award and the iF award in 2008 and Elle Decoration's young designer of the year award in 2009, and he has taught at the IUAV. On this site his pieces appear across Casamania, Foscarini and Lodes.
