Manzoni & Tapinassi
Manzoni & Tapinassi is the Florence partnership of the architect Maurizio Manzoni and the designer and professor Roberto Tapinassi, who began working together in 2001 as StudioMEMO, an open studio that draws in people from many disciplines. Manzoni, born in Nuoro in 1967 and trained in architecture in Florence, had already worked in industrial design for Italian and foreign companies, among them Arketipo, Lancia and Roche Bobois, and across interiors, graphics, fabrics and yachts; Tapinassi brought a career in design and teaching that began in the 1960s. Their joint work joins architecture, industrial design and interior decoration with experience in visual communication and fashion, and follows how people actually live at home. For Arketipo they designed the Moon swivel chair and the Greenwich table, and for Natuzzi Italia the Tempo sofa, among others.
