Cartoccio Vase
Cartoccio by Pietro Chiesa for FontanaArte is a glass vase formed by folding a heated sheet into an irregular, gathered vessel.
The satin surface and freely shaped rim recall crumpled paper, while manual production gives each piece its own outline. Small and Large versions retain the same sculptural approach to a simple sheet of glass.

Cartoccio is a glass vase formed by gathering a heated sheet into an irregular vessel.
Manual folding produces individual differences in its outline and rim. The natural satin surface changes the reflection across the folded sides. Small and Large versions share the same construction, bringing two different scales to the vase design by Pietro Chiesa.
