Vondom Roulette includes full-size and children’s lounge chairs by Eero Aarnio.
A rounded polyethylene underside gives the chairs their rocking movement, while the seat, arms and back form one continuous upper body. The full-size chair is 36½ inches across; the Kids version measures 27¼ inches across and is intended for children over three. Both designs are suitable for indoor and outdoor settings.
Eero Aarnio is known for furniture that explores plastic construction and sculptural forms. His designs include the Ball chair, developed in 1963, and the Pastil and Bubble chairs from 1968. His work is represented in collections including MoMA, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Vitra Design Museum.
