Planters.
Vondom Origami includes planters and animal sculptures by Studio Vondom, all shaped with folded-looking planes.
Polyethylene vessels reinterpret urns and vases through polygonal bodies, stepped necks and flared rims. Decorative animals range from birds and rabbits to dogs, cats and gorillas, with several designs offered at more than one scale. Matte, lacquered and selected illuminated versions vary the surface treatment while preserving the angular outlines.
Studio Vondom brings together engineers, industrial designers and graphic designers within the manufacturer. The team develops products through work on ergonomics, molds and surfaces, using prototypes, models and material samples. The designs are developed collectively by Vondom's internal technical and creative staff.
