The elegantly solid appearance of Vol Table, by Stefen Scholten, arises from the encounter of two geometric forms: a conical base formed from three birch plywood sheets and a circular top of the same material.
Designed on basic principles of construction, Vol is covered in linoleum, a recyclable material of former times made from natural constituents, among them linseed oil, from which its name is derived. Developed and patented in the second half of the nineteenth century, and then progressively replaced by cheaper vinyl or rubber alternatives with which it is often confused, linoleum has chromatic properties that lend softness and warmth to surfaces and furnishings, and enhance Vol’s geometric lines. Warm to the touch, flexible, and resistant to fingerprints, linoleum is ideal for covering both gently curving contours and geometric linear designs. Clay, leather and walnut tones have been selected to accentuate the table’s natural inspiration.
Vol is also available in Ecotone, a material of recycled glass composite sheets that contain a resin derived from bio compounds and have a silica content below 5 percent.

Shipping and returns

Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever. Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.

Product care

Anyway, you still use Lorem Ipsum and rightly so, as it will always have a place in the web workers toolbox, as things happen, not always the way you like it, not always in the preferred order.

Product details

Made possible by exploring innovative molded plywood techniques, Iskos-Berlin’s Soft Edge Chair blends strong curves with extreme lightness to create a three-dimensionality not usually possible with 2-D plywood.
