Greatly influenced by tradition, Viga (the Spanish word for beam) is a fresh breeze of Mediterranean design. Revolving around the idea of one strong, core element, Viga seamlessly combines the extruded aluminium beam with crafted wooden pieces as legs or worktops. And from here, the rest of the family grows and develops. Alex and Clara, the minds behind Yonoh Studio, wanted to create an entirely new system keeping versatility and adaptiveness in mind. Nowadays, static and monolithic environments feel old; companies -and therefore users- are swiftly shifting to more hybrid territories: at the office we want to feel home (warm lights, soft fabrics, natural materials) and at home we want to feel the office (professional workspaces, high-quality furniture, stainless ends). In order to achieve that, modularity and detail are crucial.
