Shell is an enduring design exercise. With a highly memorable and iconic geometry, Shell represents a direct dialogue between backrest and structure, between solid and malleable, wood and metal.The aim was to create an all-round product, capable of fitting into both private and a public spaces, due to its modularity and its different finishes this porpouse became possible. The structure has been developed in a bigger thickness than usual in order to give this product character, without being invasive. Thanks to its hidden fittings, the plywood shell seems to be simply coupled on the structure, creating a clean and easy to understand unit. The plywood shell is available in various finishes, making the collection highly versatile. From lacquered MDF to oak-finish plywood, highlighting the warmth of the wood, and upholstery, which always adds a touch of comfort to any piece.
Frame: 0,86 inch diameter calibrated tubular steel.
Armrest: 0,79 inch diameter calibrated tubular steel.
Seat/Backrest: Plywood backrest carcass, with oak veneer finish. Also available in lacquered MDF in any color.
