Sax 8 is part of the Sax family, which also consists of Sax Rete plus Sax Air and Sax 24 (24 h use). Sax 24 and Sax 8 have an evident common aesthetic thread, although they each have a different end use. Different engineering features were incorporated into Sax 24 because it is designed for 24-hour use. For example, the 14 mm thickness of the steel plate in the backrest exceeds the standards for a chair that conforms to the UNI EN 1335 (the Sax 8 plate is 7 mm thick). Sax 8 is available with two mechanisms: the new, self-adjusting Synchro PSY6 (automatic tension adjustment), making it more simple to use the mechanism in the task chair, and Synchro SY24, the same mechanism used for Sax 24.
