SÄULE, a large rectangular table, is characterised by a Canaletto walnut structure that combines the aesthetics of lightness with the solidity of solid walnut turned legs. The thick top with solid walnut edging is made of glossy HPL laminate with rounded corners – inspired by the brand’s traditional curved lines – in the colours of the collection: orange, brown and plum red.
“The idea of this project – comments Fabio Fantolino – comes from the desire to create an oxymoron between stability and lightness, between minimalism and protagonism. The straight legs, like four pillars at the corners of the table top, designed with a thickness that emphasises and imposes the table’s presence, evoke stability. The rounded corners of the top and the use of Canaletto walnut lend it a pure and exclusive sophistication that allows it to adapt harmoniously to different contexts, whether classic or contemporary. The contrast between the opacity of the wooden elements and the brightness and fullness of the colour of the top reinforces the contrast between the two souls and grants the table a strong personality and character.”
