The intuition comes on Mount Takasaki, in the Prefecture of Ōita, from the observation of small and agile Japanese macaques: to free the animal instinct, the hidden playfulness that every person carries deep within themselves through the design of a form, a relational space where one can sit, lie down, climb. Multiple seats with an organic characterization, morphological expression of the culture of beauty and transience. Three independent but complementary elements, three immutable forms that can be combined in a single, unique circular island. The project, as a variable of a landscape, thus simultaneously fulfills different ways of sitting, of experiencing sociality.

The island is made up of three free-form elements that combine to form a large circular seating unit. Seats in flame-retardant cold-foamed foam. Plywood base. The Saruyama collection does not have removable covers.
