Sanders Universe is a modular sofa upholstered and covered in fabric. The sofa is assembled without using adhesives. This makes it easy to disassemble and take to recycling centres. The seat and pre-lining are biodegradable. Sanders Universe is the first green project undertaken by Ditre Italia, created by the collaboration with fashion designer Tiziano Guardini, a consummate creator of eco-sustainable fashion collections, who, throughout his career has always sought to maintain the equilibrium between man and nature. Greenwear Philosophy is a plan of Ditre Italia born from the desire to contribute to the health of the planet through a process of sustainable development.
Features:
– The frame and base are made of metal partly from recycled ferrous materials.
– The seat suspension system consists of slats made from recycled glass fibre and recycled PET.
– The cushions are made of coconut fibre (the structure) and natural latex (the soft padding) bonded together with natural rubber adhesives.
– 4) The cushions’ pre-lining is made of recycled polyester from PET and glass fibre paste. The cushions are filled with recycled PET and cork.
– Two types of fabric are available: one is 100% polyester made from PET and the other is cotton produced from recycled knitwear. The knitwear is sorted according to composition and colour to avoid wasting water and dye.
