Parenthese is a modular cork panel allowing people to create large cork wall just like one would do with tiles. They are meant to be tools for architects, to help them define and design spaces with natural biophilic materials. Each element is 41 cm (16.1) x 21 cm (8.3), with two very soft curves on its inner edges that create a subtle shadow. Two panels used side by side create a square. They can be used vertically or horizontally to define specific areas, to reference historical wooden wall panels, or to create modern graphic walls by playing with colors or by creating patterns through interesting juxtapositions.

The concept of the Cork Tiles is to offer the possibility to create an acoustic wall with a real presence and depth. Each piece was designed by Alain Gilles, who took his inspiration from the graphic and architectural research that has historically been done on bricks. Alain focused on the idea of bringing the outside in by combining the architectural rhythm and symmetry with all natural, sustainable elements.
