Ombra is a sculptural table with a refined design whose natural and industrial materials give rise to a project with a minimalist aesthetic and a bold identity.

Technical details:
• The asymmetrical load-bearing leg is made of curved wood which is painted and decorated with a spatula effect and a particular decorative bio-malt finish with an opaque texture and advanced technical characteristics. This is a bio-compatible and ecologically sustainable finish which is odorless and non-toxic, stain and skid resistant, and easy to maintain. The material used is an aqueous single-component compound with a mix of natural materials such as quartz, terracotta powder, marble, and mother of pearl, in a thickness of approximately 2 mm.
• The base is made of thick pewter painted steel (8mm) to ensure stability and prevent tipping. The metal of the base simulates the reflection of the top.
• The top with its Tobacco Ash wood finish is produced thanks to a special manufacturing technique which uses membrane pressing, the hallmark of Italian craftsmanship and excellence. The edge is made of rounded and beveled wood.
• The application of materials is entirely done by hand: the project reveals the craftsmanship and innovation in the production of each single piece.
• Available in two different sizes, Ombra is a versatile project, ideal for the living area but also for work areas with a contemporary soul.
The collaboration and deep understanding between Claudio Bellini and Natuzzi Italia over the past twenty years has once again borne fruit with Solar, a collection that the designer has openly put together to pay tribute to Puglia. He is linked to this region by numerous childhood memories, and has been able to experience and get to know it through his passionate work with the company which is now more like a family.
At the heart of Solar – which features the Pablo couch, the Briq bed, the Ombra dining table and the Frost coffee tables – is the essence of Mediterranean culture and tradition, the harmony and beauty of the region’s nature, that typical “sunshine” fruit of a mindset which is so unique in the world of hospitality, an extraordinary sense of friendship which is reflected in all aspects of good living, like cuisine, art and architecture.
