MAP is Lodes’ new lighting system that overcomes the limitations of traditional modular lighting solutions. Available in ceiling and wall versions, MAP is the result of a collaboration with GECKELER MICHELS.
MAP balances dynamic design with advanced lighting performance. A ribbon with a strong decorative character, stretched between the various modules it connects, powers the entire system to create infinite compositional possibilities: in addition to bringing light where you want it, in fact, the ribbon recalls the theme of constellations and represents the distinctive graphic sign of the project. Ideal for environments where there is a single point of light, MAP offers numerous solutions for ceiling and wall applications, with the possibility of creating customisable configurations that go beyond traditional track or integrated LED strip systems. Moreover, thanks to its ability to blend perfectly into any space, MAP adapts to the most diverse requirements, giving architects, interior and lighting designers almost absolute freedom. Designed to combine aesthetic sign and lighting function, MAP allows points and lines to be freely positioned on ceilings and walls: light thus becomes an element that redesigns spaces thanks to rhythms and compositions that illuminate and decorate any environment.
The circular start module houses an LED board equipped with tunable white technology to choose the colour temperature best suited to the environment during installation. The fabric ribbon runs inside the housing of each module and, from the starting module, conducts the current to the entire system, always concealing the source of the power supply. Equipped with specific conductors – and available in a reel measuring 8 m in length and as much as 5 cm in height -, the ribbon is stretched between the various lighting points and feeds them continuously, even in the absence of additional power sources on walls and ceilings. The TRIAC version allows the connection of up to five elements (one starting point and four lighting points), while the DALI version allows the connection of up to eight elements (one starting point and seven lighting points); but the configurations can potentially be extended to infinity: by connecting a non-conductive ribbon to a starting point module powered by another circuit, the system can be expanded at will and all the lighting points required to effectively illuminate the room can be added.
Thanks to its versatility, MAP can also solve any design criticalities, such as low ceilings or the absence of light points on the ceiling, because it offers the possibility of connecting a specific starting module also to the wall: aesthetically the same as the other components, this module is blind and is equipped with a cover and a special angle bracket to connect it to the ceiling light points. The system can be further enhanced by a wall application with indirect light: in this case, the light module is equipped with a screen that allows the light to be directed and directed on the wall to offer compositional possibilities similar to the ceiling version.
Each module – measuring 130 mm in diameter and 63 mm in height – is fitted with a PMMA lens that is available in several options to offer different lighting perceptions and respond to different design needs, from a more directional light to more or less diffuse effects. Once the lens is positioned, the module is magnetically sealed. The modules can be further customised with an optional accessory: the Honeycomb filter, a thin honeycomb screen that can be applied to the lens to improve lighting comfort and reduce glare. Available in three matt finishes – black, champagne and dark brown – MAP combines aesthetics and functionality to become a lighting system and a decorative element capable of defining spaces through light. The finishes are available for both the modules and the ribbon to give the design greater aesthetic and visual uniformity.

Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever. Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.
Anyway, you still use Lorem Ipsum and rightly so, as it will always have a place in the web workers toolbox, as things happen, not always the way you like it, not always in the preferred order.
