Island is a collection made up of three poufs with organic forms that evoke the coast line lapped by the sea. This imagery is felt throughout the entire design, conjuring the enveloping movement of the tide which softens and shapes the shore. For this reason, the volumes are perceived differently depending on the perspective from which they are observed in a space. The base visually elevates the seat from the ground making it seem like it’s floating in space.
Materials
Structure in plywood with variable-density polyurethane foam, covered with velfodera coupled with resin pressed 100gr/sqm. The baseboard is in solid wood.
