Foil is a fabric chair with adjustable height, equipped with a five-spoke base on wheels, with a dry and essential silhouette, make it an extremely versatile piece of furniture. The inspiration behind the original design comes from the aeronautical world, more specifically from its wing profile: hence the name FOIL. Its small size allows easy positioning in multiple contexts, from the office, its preferred area, to the world of catering to the home.The design project was created with sustainability in mind: the shell made of a single material (Baydur rigid and flexible polyurethane) can be easily recycled at the end of its life. The fabric, applied without using glue, is also easy to separate.
FOIL is available with all the bases already in the collection: star-shaped, four metal or wooden legs, or three or four spokes for the office. A new wooden base with a refined design nicely fits into the meeting rooms of elegant offices, in restaurants and cafs, or even in the living room.
Slender yet accommodating. Relaxing yet extremely stable. The new FOIL armchair, designed by Francesco Rota, is the outcome of a fusion of opposites. The generous padded seat, offering sheer comfort, emerges from the 4-slanted spoke base on castors, integrates with the enveloping backrest and descends into the highly elegant line of the armrests.
