Fat work is a office chair
Tom Dixon unveils the latest addition to his iconic FAT collection, setting new standards in office (home) aesthetics. Designed with a vision of timeless elegance and unprecedented comfort, FAT WORK is the ultimate solution for those seeking both style and functionality in their workspace.
“The new hybrid environments we inhabit, between work and relaxation, demand furniture that matches increasing flexibility and unpredictable lifestyles. FAT WORK is a response to these recent adjustments: the home has been redefined as a place for work, remote work, and learning. Now, professional spaces are moving away from clinical and technological codes in favor of a softer and more comfortable aesthetic,” says Tom Dixon.
He adds, “We wanted to create a chair with a stripped-back, soft, domestic aesthetic. So, we developed FAT WORK. Its a chair for conference rooms and break rooms, home offices and modern dining rooms, that swivels, glides, and lifts with remarkable poise. We believe FAT WORK is the ideal candidate for this role.”
The genesis of FAT WORK stems from Tom Dixon’s personal experience during the pandemic. Dissatisfied with the bland look and lack of comfort of traditional office chairs borrowed from his London headquarters for his home office, Tom Dixon embarked on a mission to create a chair that would elevate the home working experience. The result? FAT WORK: a testament to his unwavering commitment to combining form and function.
FAT WORK was unveiled at Milan Design Week in April. Following its well-received debut, the chair has embarked on a global tour. It will be in New York City this week, in London (at Clerkenwell Design Week in collaboration with Kvadrat), and in June in Copenhagen for the 3 Days of Design.
Each presentation promises to further solidify FAT WORKs reputation as the new must-have seating.
FAT WORK will be officially launched across all markets in September. It will be available in over 200 different fabric and color options.
The collection is available in a wide range of colours and fabrics. It includes a dining chair, lounge chair, bar stools, sofas and a chaise longue.

Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever. Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.
Anyway, you still use Lorem Ipsum and rightly so, as it will always have a place in the web workers toolbox, as things happen, not always the way you like it, not always in the preferred order.
