The Decumano range includes a series of executive and meeting tables, with fixed and adjustable height, rectangular, square and round in different sizes, in sleek finishes (black, grey, champagne and brick red) that offer creative options for enhancing the joint detail. The requirement was for a table that could stand by itself and also seamlessly integrate with all the Fantoni collections, fitting into different layouts, ranging from a managerial style to more meeting-oriented.
The Decumano table project once again sees the paths cross of two designers. These lifelong friends not only share a personal bond but also collaborate professionally; not continually, but when the opportunity or a project demands it, making it a pleasure for them to put their heads together once more and design.
This is how Giulio Iacchetti and Matteo Ragni tell us they approached the brief they received from Fantoni for a series of tables, working first separately, and then together at the studio to exchange their initial ideas. And so, magically, by discarding what seemed weak and keeping what showed promise for development, the idea emerged of bypassing any easy aesthetic solution for table design, and focusing on the design of a supporting structure.
When we sketched it say the two designers, the frame of Decumano was already there, in that simple design of a perpendicular intersection of lightweight beams that support the top, and that together create a quadrilateral that metaphorically recalls the layout of Roman cities (the cardo and the decumanus), the basis of the western world.
The choice of name reflects this: an intersection that creates a solid structure conveying solidity and simplicity, characteristics that align with the world of Fantoni and its production and design experience.
Precisely because the Decumano table is all substance, a fundamental step was opting for clear tops for the most iconic versions, in order to highlight the simplicity of the structural solution, without the need to invent theoretical and technical superstructures of thought.
The Decumano collection is the result of a collaboration between designers Giulio Iacchetti and Matteo Ragni, a professional and personal relationship that has strengthened over time. To fulfil the brief requiring the creation of an executive and meeting table, the two designers chose to focus on defining a solid and innovative supporting structure, rather than opting for obvious aesthetic solutions. The result is a perpendicular intersection of lightweight beams that support the top, forming a simple and symbolic quadrilateral that references the layout of Roman cities. The name Decumano highlights this structural intersection, symbolising functionality and precision, reflecting Fantonis production and design approach.
The idea behind the design is to create the perfect balance between sturdiness and lightness, where the form itself becomes a distinctive element of the piece. In the collections most iconic versions, the top is made of clear glass to highlight the clarity of the design and allow the table to express its essence in a pure and direct way, without superfluous conceptual extras. The Decumano collection stands out for its versatility and refinement, offering bookshelves and tables in a variety of configurations.
The four classic finishes Champagne, Grey, Black and Allura Red can be freely combined, offering a high level of customisation and making each arrangement unique and exclusive. Decumano represents the evolution of furniture design, where the structure becomes the focus through a clever balance of form and function. The collection offers the ideal solution for those seeking a workspace that combines robustness, lightness and elegance, transforming every table into a unique, innovative element.

Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever. Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.

Product care

Anyway, you still use Lorem Ipsum and rightly so, as it will always have a place in the web workers toolbox, as things happen, not always the way you like it, not always in the preferred order.
