ALICUDI, FILICUDI, PANAREA is a set of pendant lamps made from recycled lava.
The innovative patented material used is the result of a cutting-edge process. The use of recycled lava allows for thinner layers, up to 8-10 mm, while maintaining the strength and characteristic expressiveness of natural lava.
Each lamp is unique, with an irregular, textured surface enriched by porosity and craters, varying depending on the heat and granularity of the recovered material.
Although industrially produced, they retain a strong artisanal character: the manufacturing process is done manually, creating unique and unrepeatable variations on each piece.
The three pendant lamps are named after the Aeolian Islands, evoking their volcanic charm. The shapes were chosen to highlight both the potential and the limitations of the material used.
From a lighting perspective, the lamps emit a focused, functional light, with a beam directed downward. When turned off, however, they appear completely black and sculptural, transforming into shifting presences depending on the ambient light.
Alicudi, Filicudi, Panarea is a collection of lamps that expresses the raw beauty of lava, with surfaces rich in porosity and craters, transforming a waste material into a design object that combines aesthetics and sustainability.
Innovative and functional, these lamps naturally fit into both public and residential environments, perfect for being repeated in series without losing aesthetic variety. A project in which matter and light merge, giving life to a new interpretation of contemporary lighting.
An additional step forward in the experimentation of novel and unexpected materials in the industry, a distinctive feature of Foscarini’s research.

Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever. Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.
Anyway, you still use Lorem Ipsum and rightly so, as it will always have a place in the web workers toolbox, as things happen, not always the way you like it, not always in the preferred order.
