Akim is a new system of tables in various shapes and sizes, characterised by the refinement of the central octagon-shaped base with sides in different sizes, covered in crystal glass, in the Gallotti&Radice colour range, or in mirrored crystal glass. The project continues Gabriele and Oscar Buratti ‘s refined research into design with the use of glass and mirror for sculptural and geometric volumes, in which unexpected plays of reflection and depth are emphasised. Akimprovides a wide range, for use in office environments, contract, special projects: the system makes it possible to structure very large modular tables, with the use of several bases, connected by a metal beam hidden under the top, which also acts as a cable channel. The bases are in fact channelled and can be inspected to allow complete wiring of the table.
