A seat and its double: on one side it contains and protects, on the other it relaxes and welcomes. A striking ambivalence that artificially separates form and content, image and concept, which not by chance suggests with its name – hood – a double function. The hood is an ancient and at the same time urban symbol; it protects and frames the face but can hide, deny dialogue and comparison. The impact is strong, all played on the edge of contrast: the three dimensions seem to recite the two-dimensional geometry of the design, the chromatic overlapping does not divide but complements, the tension is not soothed but stabilized. Clarissa is a dynamic relaxation armchair, ready to spring but willing to rest, to the temporary suspension of activities. A combination of competition and collaboration, of provocation and aesthetics.

Resin structure covered in fireproof foam. Fixed base in painted steel.

Authorities in our business will tell in no uncertain terms that Lorem Ipsum is that huge, huge no no to forswear forever. Not so fast, I'd say, there are some redeeming factors in favor of greeking text, as its use is merely the symptom of a worse problem to take into consideration.

Product care

Anyway, you still use Lorem Ipsum and rightly so, as it will always have a place in the web workers toolbox, as things happen, not always the way you like it, not always in the preferred order.

Made possible by exploring innovative molded plywood techniques, Iskos-Berlin’s Soft Edge Chair blends strong curves with extreme lightness to create a three-dimensionality not usually possible with 2-D plywood.
