Puppy, the ever-popular icon of the Magis Me Too collection, gains two new velvet-effect finishes this year: one iridescent and one shaded, in various colours. Created in 2004 by Eero Aarnio, a master of Nordic design culture and an innovator on the international scene since the ‘60s, Puppy is a dog-shaped sculpture that the designer approached from the perspective of a child drawing a puppy. Head, body, legs: minimal, rounded shapes result in a friendly, playful, durable and colourful object. A faithful playmate whose rotational-moulded polyethylene structure offers endless possibilities for playtime and daily life. Puppy’s design makes it a robust yet lightweight play-accessory with which to grow and have fun. The existing colours of orange, white, green and Dalmatian-spot are now joined by a version in velvet with skilfully shaded tips developed through Magis experimentation, and one in iridescent velvet, an effect achieved through the use of fibres in two different colours. In four different kid-friendly sizes, Puppy is an inseparable friend ready to be hugged and cuddled.
