Toblo is a coffee table made of backed clay.
Toblo expresses the physicality of its material through its form: a terracotta cylinder thus becomes a table, perfectly smooth except for its softly dented sides. Toblo captures the moment before firing, the instant when the material has already reached its final form in the hands of the artisan, yet is still fresh and malleable. A neat trick to evoke and preserve that same softness forever.
